Insurance Coverage
Our insurance policy is available at a rate of €5 per day per bicycle and offers the following protection:
- Theft Protection
In the unfortunate event of bicycle theft, the insurance covers 50% of the replacement cost. The remaining 50% will be the responsibility of the renter. A police report must be filed immediately, and our team must be notified without delay. - Roadside Assistance
Should you experience mechanical failure or damage while riding, our roadside assistance service is available during business hours. Depending on the situation, we will either provide an on-site repair or arrange a bicycle replacement. - Geographical Coverage
The insurance coverage applies within a 30 km radius from our store. Assistance or claims outside this area will not be covered under the policy. - Damage Coverage
The policy covers accidental damage sustained under normal usage, such as minor component failures. However, intentional damage, misuse, or damage resulting from failure to follow proper usage guidelines is not covered.

Insurance is not mandatory and can be selected as an additional service when renting a bicycle. The renter must expressly accept the insurance terms at the time of rental. - Customer Responsibilities
The renter must take all reasonable precautions to prevent theft and damage, including securing the bicycle properly when unattended and following road safety guidelines. Failure to do so may result in limited or voided coverage. - Procedure in Case of an Incident
- In the event of theft, the renter must immediately file a police report and provide a copy to EcoBike Rent Valencia.
- For damage or mechanical issues, the renter must contact our team within business hours to arrange repair or replacement.
- Claims for coverage will be assessed on a case-by-case basis, and damages not covered by the policy will be charged according to our damage compensation policy.
